Ayumi’s journey as a massage therapist began with a simple request from her mother to knead her shoulders. Helping her brought a deep sense of joy and planted the seed for a lifelong passion.

With over two decades of experience, Ayumi’s approach is often described as intuitive. In the early years, she used to overthink each session, wondering if she was doing it “right.” Over time, she learned to trust her intention to help and let her hands guide her. As one client put it, “It’s like she does an initial scan of the body and then somehow knows what part of the body needs the work.” Another remarked, “Her hands have GPS… they always know where to go.”

Just as important to her as technique, Ayumi holds value in creating a safe, nurturing space. She understands stress intimately—whether from long hours behind a computer, the challenges of parenting, the weight of living with mental illness, or the aftermath of trauma. Her goal is simple: to make each massage feel like a mini vacation, even if it’s just for an hour.

Massage can be a retreat from a busy life — let the massage refresh your body and soul.
